MasterCard’s Partitioned Blockchain Splits Opinion
MasterCard was granted a patent on October 9th for a new method of partitioning blockchains to allow multiple transactions simultaneously. The patent also noted the cost efficiency of partitioned blockchains — the standard protocol of dividing transactions across ledgers wastes electricity.
